Verse of the Day-1 Peter 1:3-9, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to His great mercy, He has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith-- more precious that gold that perished though it is tested by fire-- may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Though you have not seen Him, you love Him. Though you do not now see Him, you believe in Him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls."

Quote of the Day-Anna: It'll be really good for him- turn him into a man. Or kill him!

Thursday

What I Love About Today-

Verse of the Day-
James 1:19-25, "Know this, my believed brothers: let every person by quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger, for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness that God requires. Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your soul. But be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the Word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks in to the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing."

Quote of the Day-
"An adventure is only an inconvenience rightly considered. An inconvenience is an adventure wrongly considered."
-G. K. Chesterton (1874 - 1936)

Verse of the Day-
Psalm 117

"Not to us, O Yahweh, not to us,
but to Your name give glory,
for the sake of Your steadfast love and Your faithfulness!
Why should the nations say,
"Where is their God?"
Our God in in the heavens;
He does all that He pleases.

Their idols are silver and gold,
the work of human hands.
They have mouths, but do not speak;
eyes, but do not see.
They have ears, but do not hear;
noses, but do not smell.
They have hands, but do not feel;
feet, but do not walk;
and they do not make a sound in their throat.
Those who make them become like them;
so do all who trust in them.

O Israel, trust in Yahweh!
He is their help and their shield.
O house of Aaron, trust in Yahweh!
He is their help and their shield.
You who fear Yahweh, trust in Yahweh!
He is their help and their shield.

Yahweh has remembered us; He will bless us;
He will bless the house of Israel;
He will bless the house of Aaron;
He will bless those who fear Yahweh,
both the small and the great.

May Yahweh give you increase,
you and your children!
May you be blessed by Yahweh,
who made heaven and earth!

The heavens are Yahweh's heavens,
but the earth He has given to the children of man.
The dead do not praise Yahweh,
nor do any who go down into silence.
But we will bless Yahweh
from this time forth and forevermore.
Praise Yahweh!"

the burning anger of Yahweh,
before there comes upon you
the day of the anger of Yahweh.
Seek Yahweh, all you humble of the land,
who do His just commands;
seek righteousness; seek humility;
perhaps you may be hidden
on the day of the anger of Yahweh."

Zephaniah 2:11,
"Yahweh will be awesome against them;
for He will famish all the gods of the earth,
and to Him shall bow down,
each in its place,
all the lands of the nations."

Zephaniah 3:5,
"Yahweh within her is righteous;
He does no injustice;
every morning He shows forth His justice;
each dawn He does not fail;
but the unjust knows no shame."
