the Bailee/Rachel song:

(Glinda):
I've heard it said
That people come into our lives for a reason
Bringing something we must learn
And we are led
To those who help us most to grow
If we let them
And we help them in return
Well, I don't know if I believe that's true
But I know I'm who I am today
Because I knew you...

Like a comet pulled from orbit
As it passes a sun
Like a stream that meets a boulder
Halfway through the wood
Who can say if I've been changed for the better?
But because I knew you
I have been changed for good

(Elphaba):
It well may be
That we will never meet again
In this lifetime
So let me say before we part
So much of me
Is made of what I learned from you
You'll be with me
Like a handprint on my heart
And now whatever way our stories end
I know you have re-written mine
By being my friend...

Like a ship blown from its mooring
By a wind off the sea
Like a seed dropped by a skybird
In a distant wood
Who can say if I've been changed for the better?
But because I knew you

(Glinda):
Because I knew you

(Both):
I have been changed for good

(Elphaba):
And just to clear the air
I ask forgiveness
For the things I've done you blame me for

(Glinda):
But then, I guess we know
There's blame to share

(Both):
And none of it seems to matter anymore

(Glinda):
Like a comet pulled from orbit
As it passes a sun
Like a stream that meets a boulder
Halfway through the wood

(Elphaba):
Like a ship blown from its mooring
By a wind off the sea
Like a seed dropped by a bird in the wood

(Both):
Who can say if I've been
Changed for the better?
I do believe I have been
Changed for the better

(Glinda):
And because I knew you...

(Elphaba):
Because I knew you...

(Both):
Because I knew you...
I have been changed for good

Tuesday

When I'm tired I can't remember everything in my day- therefore I write a non-list post. I helped my mom a little bit this morning, and this afternoon took her, my dad, and my four younger siblings to the airport. They're going to Disney World! woot :) I cooked calzones for Nathan, Nick, and I for dinner. Tonight I went to the free showing of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde at the Repertory Theater. It was really good, but quite freaky. I get scared super easily. I baked a "red velvet" cake tonight... you'll hear more tomorrow, and also practiced piano for the first time since before spring break. (lesson tomorrow- YIKES!)

Verse of the Day-
Ephesians 6:10-13, "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm."

Thursday

... No list today. I'm tired. This morning, Hannah and I didn't get up to our alarms, so we missed sunrise. Sad. We walked to the library to return our DVDs, then walked home along the beach. Shower, pack, checkout, breakfast at Key Lime Bistro. We had some extra time, so we visited the manatees for the last time. Long ride in the taxi... Long wait at the airport... Sleep in the plane. My Daddy picked us up! I love him. A lot. It was sad to part with Hannah. Home is very sweet. I love my beautiful Mama! My Tea of the Month and Martha Stewart Living were awaiting me on my desk... that made me extra happy. It's Benjamin's birthday! I brought him "52 things to do on the beach" and fish-shaped candy on a stick. He was pretty happy. When Mary got home from gymnastics she was soo excited to see me. While I was gone she and Mom made a creepy version of me in my bed using my pajamas and Mary's stuffed animals ...yeah, creepy. Grandma and Grandpa and Jake came over for dinner to celebrate Benjamin's birthday. That was fun. When they all left, I took fake "senior pictures" of Caleb for the yearbook, and talked to my parents. I'm so excited to get in my own bed...

Verse of the Day-
Romans 8:28, "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose."

Picture(s) of the Day-

Okay, this last one is a picture that Hannah and I happened upon last night... isn't it the saddest yet funniest thing you've ever seen? His name is Kenny. Seriously.

Verse of the Day-
Ephesians 4:10-16, "He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.) And He gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into Him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love."

For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness."

Verse of the Day-

Psalm 145
I will extol You, my God and King,
and bless Your name forever and ever.
Every day I will bless You
and praise Your name forever and ever.
Great is Yahweh, and greatly to be praised,
and His greatness is unsearchable.

One generation shall commend Your works to another,
and shall declare Your mighty acts.
On the glorious splendor of Your majesty,
and on Your wondrous works, I will meditate.
They shall speak of the might of Your awesome deeds,
and I will declare Your greatness.
They shall pour forth the fame of Your abundant goodness
and shall sing aloud of Your righteousness.

Yahweh is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love,
Yaweh is good to all,
and His mercy is over all the He has made.

All Your works shall give thanks to You, O Yahweh,
and all Your saints shall bless You!
They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom
and tell of Your power,
to make known to the children of man Your mighty deeds,
and the glorious splendor of Your kingdom.
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
and Your dominion endures
throughout all generations.

Yahweh is faithful in all His words
and kind in all His works.
Yahweh upholds all who are falling
and raises up all who are bowed down.
The eyes of all look to You,
and You give them their food in due season.
You open Your hand;
You satisfy the desire of every living thing.
Yahweh is righteous in all His ways
and kind in all His works.
Yahweh is near to all who call on Him,
to all who call on Him in truth.
He fulfills the desire of those who fear Him;
He also hears their cry and saves them.
Yahweh preserves all who love Him,
but all the wicked He will destroy.

My mouth will speak the praise of Yahweh,
and let all flesh bless His holy name forever and ever."

Quote of the Day-
I asked him if he was married yet.

'I don't understand women well enough,' he answered.

'My dear Gerald,' I said, 'women are meant to be loved, not to be understood.'

Sunday

This is not a list post. This is a writing post.

I missed another day- another Saturday! I may very likely miss next Saturday also, because I'm going to Florida! That was a side note.

Anyway, I came home from South Carolina on Tuesday (sick), spent Wednesday and Thursday with my family, then Friday after school went to the Woods' house to watch their children with Anna while the parents were gone for the weekend. Anna and I had so much fun- with the kids, and just the two of us when they were in bed. It was a good weekend.

Except, I'm still sick. I can't sing at all- I've been just listening and follow along in the choir at school, and I didn't even try to sing in choir at church today. I laughed at myself during every hymn. My speaking voice is even slightly ridiculous every once in a while when my cough aggravates it. My cough makes my throat sore too. Blah.

Good news- I went shopping with Anna and Hannah this afternoon after we left the Woods. I bought a fun shirt and sandals for Florida. Pretty exciting.

Also, tomorrow is going to be a fun day. I'm going to hang out with my mom in the morning, have coffee with Bailee and hear her exciting stories, have lunch with my dad, go to choir, have coffee with Lindsay and hear HER exciting stories, then go home. I'm sure I'll hear stories from Mary at that point. Later I have to go to chorale society though... but at least I get to have dinner with my family.

Okay, I'm sick and tired and have lots to do tomorrow (like practice piano- haven't practiced in almost 2 weeks and I have a lesson on Wednesday. Argh) so I'm going to sleep now. Goodnight.

Do you like how I made this almost list-ish the way I paragraphed everything off?

PS: I need a pedicure.
